Werewolf Transformation by SearedIce Werewolf Transformation by SearedIce
This is my final project for my Maya 3d modeling class. Using a skeleton and sort of corrrective blend shape (mesh morph), I made a smooth transformation from an anthropomorphic wolf character (werewolf) to a regular wolf shape.

For the animation: [link]
It's short...oh well. I think the stills do it more justice :)

Used: Maya, Photoshop

Hi WolfTFS1! Thanks :P

I started learning with this program many years ago: [link]
It's a simplified 3d modeling program without all of the confusing fancy features that programs like 3dsMax/Maya/Blender have.
It's free too!
The tutorials I learned on are still there on the site; see the "Tutorials" link on the left.

If you don't like Anim8or, you can also try Blender. Blender is also free, and it's much more sophisticated than Anim8or. Blender is regarded as a very confusing program, but if you follow some tutorials you should be okay. It has a steep learning curve; you really have to want to learn it to survive the intro material. I made this model in Maya, but I do most of my work in Blender nowadays.

Have fun!

No comments? Thats to bad.
Becuass it is a big step when a person made his own 3D character. And im even not so far yet.
I can see you have put a lot of time in this model. And it turns out great :), the anatomy is just awesome.
The only thing i can put a finger on, is the pelt...it dosent looks like fur so much. But anyway..nice work :).
You got a good talent.

Thanks for commenting :) About the fur...I was running short on time, so I didn't do much with that. Maybe I'll revisit it later :)
